About LKPA

The LKPA, established in 1976 by Professor John Walls, founding consultant of UHL kidney services. We are charity run by volunteers, consisting of renal patients, relatives, renal staff, and other interested individuals. . We are principally associated with patients throughout Leicestershire who are treated at Leicester General Hospital and its satellite units. Each renal patient is automatically a member of the LKPA.

The LKPA aims to support its members through the provision of support and guidance via the telephone, website, and newsletters. We offer grants for basic needs, organise educational sessions, and run social events and outings (some LKPA members are unable to drive, feel isolated and maybe anxious about being in company/ travelling because of restrictions etc that their condition puts upon them).

Would you be interested in serving on The LKPA Committee, if so why not contact us.
